What are Legal for Trade scales used for?
There are multiple uses for a scale that is Legal for Trade. The most obvious reason someone would use one is for buying produce and meat at your local grocery store. These scales must meet the standards set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and tested/approved by the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP).
