Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA)

The RD-953 InnerScan PRO incorporates the very latest FDA cleared Multi-Frequency Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology, the fist consumer body composition monitor in the world to do so. Multi-Frequency testing provides an additional level of accuracy to the body composition analysis process by providing essential data of a person’s intracellular and extracellular status, and is generally only found on professional grade models.

The advanced technology found within the RD-953 InnerScan PRO provides an in-depth analysis of 11 body composition readings. Measurements include: Weight, Body Fat, Muscle Mass, Muscle Quality Score, Physique Rating, Bone Mass, Visceral Fat, Metabolic Age, Total Body Water, Daily Caloric Intake (DCI) and BMI. No other consumer Bluetooth scale offers such a wide array of capability, making the RD-953 the world’s most accurate home-use body composition monitor. BIA is quick and non-invasive, and is one of the most thorough and reliable ways to measure body composition, clinically comparable to DXA (dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry) and hydrostatic (underwater) weighing.

The RD-953 InnerScan PRO also comes equipped with Athlete Mode. The Athlete Mode was developed to provide a more accurate reading for athletic body types. Athletes tend to be physiologically different then standard adult body types, due to muscle mass and hydration level difference. These differences would skew the body fat reading as high, when taken in the standard adult mode.

 The RD-953 InnerScan PRO uses radio wireless Bluetooth technology, monitoring the effectiveness of a weight loss or physical activity program has never been easier. Compatible with Healthy Edge® Mobile, so your smart phone will record, analyze, and graph your results. And the platform features a color-coded LED display to quickly analyze your results and let you know if you’re in the desired zones. The RD-953 has a weight capacity of 440 pounds, and operates for greater than 1 year on four AA batteries (included).
